>"Anger only really hurts the person that's feeling it unless *of course* you allow yourself to be dragged down with it."

That thought just hit me about 5 minutes ago. I have no idea where it came from. I mean, it had to do with what I was thinking about at the time, but that statement in itself was a new revelation for me. The funny thing is, that, along with some other private revelations, caused me to go from feeling very upset to feeling rather peaceful in no time. Oooh, zen. ;) Seriously, though, I'm feeling a lot better now and not so much like my heart is bleeding on the floor.

When I get upset in any way, I'm only hurting myself. Interesting way of looking at it, no?

Life is just too short to waste time with this. What has happened, happened, and I can't change it, so there's no reason to hurt over it any more than what's necessary. And I've went above and beyond what's necessary. It is really that simple. Amazing.

I really got dragged down there for a while, didn't I? Tsk, tsk.

I can only hope I keep this new perspective. Somehow, I have a feeling I will. I don't usually go back when I have gained revelations like these. But then again, I've never had one like this before that was so completely life encompassing.

Gahh, I wish I could go to bed, but there's no point now. I might as well stay up so I can at least get my sleeping schedule straight. The next three hours REALLY need to hurry up, lol.
