Eating healthy as a parent isn't really all that hard. Just pay the same care to your diet that you pay to your child's diet and you'll do fine.

  • Eat lots of grains - It's good to get some grains in at every meal. This not only gives you energy but helps you stay constant as well.
  • Drink plenty of water - Your body needs lots of water to cleanse out toxins from your body.
  • Drink fruit juice instead of carbonated beverages - You'll get your fruit requirements for the day and give your body a much healthier option.
  • Eat fruit for breakfast and lunch - This also helps get in your fruit requirements for the day.
  • Eat vegetables for lunch and dinner - This will get in your vegetable requirements for the day.
  • Drink at least two glasses of low fat milk a day - You need your calcium!
  • Eat low fat meat at lunch and dinner - This way you'll get your protein requirements for the day.
  • Snack on granola bars, nutrition bars, fruit, yogurt, vegetables, etc. - This are all excellent options to satisfy your need to munch and your body's nutritional needs.
  • Take multivitamins - These help if you have a day you don't do too well on your nutritional requirements. They also give you an extra boost on the days you're doing good.
