Backup and Restore Installed Software in Sabayon Linux
12:23 PMHere is a simple script that will backup your manually installed software in Sabayon Linux and will restore it at a later date if you need it.
backup_and_restore.sh.tar.gz
Untar the package in your home folder and issue the following command in Terminal:
chmod +x backup_and_restore.sh
Next login as root or super user and issue the following command:
./backup_and_restore.sh
I haven't left Fedora and RHL fans out in the cold. There's two scripts that do this exact same function in a RHL based distribution, as well as back up your repositories:
backup_and_restore.tar.gz
Follow the same instructions for each of these scripts as you do the Sabayon script.
